Trying To Reconnect Wires To Motor, Which Terminals To Which Wires

The Oreck XL 2600HH has a three-wire motor. The wires are color-coded as follows:

Black: Ground

Red: Hot

Blue: Neutral

The motor terminals are also color-coded to match the wires. The terminals are labeled as follows:

G: Ground

H: Hot

N: Neutral

To reconnect the wires to the motor, follow these steps:

Make sure that the vacuum cleaner is unplugged from the power outlet.

Locate the motor terminals on the bottom of the vacuum cleaner.

Strip about 1/2 inch of insulation from the ends of the wires.

Twist the exposed wires together.

Connect the twisted wires to the corresponding motor terminals.

Make sure that the wires are securely connected to the terminals.

Plug the vacuum cleaner back into the power outlet.

The following is a table that shows which wires to connect to which terminals:

Wire Color Motor Terminal

Black G (Ground)

Red H (Hot)

Blue N (Neutral)

Here are some additional safety tips for reconnecting the wires to the motor:

Make sure that the vacuum cleaner is unplugged from the power outlet before you start.

Be careful not to touch the exposed wires together.

Make sure that the wires are securely connected to the terminals.
