Digital Or Analog?
How can I get a signal for basic channels on this model television without cable television? Do I need a converter box and/or antenna and how do I set it up?

Another option is to purchase a Digital TV receiver and connect the output of the receiver with the connector from the digital box to the TV via the RCA connections on the rear of the TV. Most analoguw trasmissions are finished and we are in a digital world but that does not stop analogue TVs from being used. You can obtain the user guide with details of external connections here:
