How To Play Region 2 Blu Rays

how can I get my Panasonic dump-bd 79 to play region 2 blu rays? My boy ray player seems to be stuck on region 1 and I can't seem to change it.

1. Insert your region locked disc into the player

2. When the "Sorry, this is the wrong region" screen appears, press stop.

3. Press the "1" key on your remote, then quickly hit "OK."

Depending on the disc, you may need to do this at the warning screen. Galactica for some reason sent a 50Hz signal to the TV and screwed everything up if I hit stop. You have to do it fast, but I can tell you that the trick has worked reliably on the dozen discs I've tried thus far. If all else fails,try mashing the pop-up and top-menu buttons, sometimes that greases the digital wheels.

Unless you're rocking a projector, it's unlikely that your U.S. display will accept a 50Hz signal, so do some googling before making any orders to make sure it's compatible. This is especially a problem on BBC releases like Sherlock.
