Model Nn-s255 Night Light Dec. 2009 Purchase

The Right light bulb suddenly went out 4 days ago. After much searching I was told I had to get the bulb at the price of $11:45 plus $9:95 shipping. In total disbelief ---at the inability to get a 1in. bulb from the parts dept where I purchased the product----I ordered 2 bulbs---(thinking the 2nd one would fail soon---and the shippking $ ws the same---- I received the parcel today. I replaced the burned out bulb--- was preparing dinner--and 2 hr. after installation---the bulb flashed out.! Later--trying to determine if the bulb --or the socket was at fault- I was unable to remove the "working " bulb--easily--as the base was "stuck" in the socket. ( Now I'm out 2 $ 11:45 bulbs --have no light --and still don't know if the 1st replacement bulb was healthy or noy-!! ) Since the unit is and MADE for over stove--is there a way to minimize steam effects in this light socket ??? Can one spray any form of sealer over the light bulb end or the socket?? Can anyone replace my bulb order Pieces reliable Parts I really think my expense and frustration should be acknowledged. PLEASE help me in this very frustrating situation.!!
