Fax Is Making A Grinding Noise When You Are Faxing And Stop The Paper Feed
Stop under to fuser rollers and makes a grinding sound.

A grinding noise is typically indicative of chipped or broken gears. Depending on where the noise is coming from and where the paper is jamming, check that drive area for any broken gears. You might be able to replace individual bad gears, or possibly have to replace the whole gear train. If it's a pain to replace, or the gear train is expensive, you may want to consider just purchasing a new machine.
