Is There A Phone Number For This Company?
I'm wondering if there is a 24 hour phone number for pay pal to cancel my account

There is no obvious link on PayPal's website to close your account, so your desire to speak to a customer service rep is well founded.
Phone PayPal at 888-221-1161 or 402-935-2050. Phone access isn't available all day and all night but does have extended hours. You can shortcut the phone menu if you repeat "Agent" in response to every prompt. To say "you will wait forever to talk to anyone" is strange: wait time is about average for customer service operations, and depending on the traffic can be quite prompt.

PayPal will only tell you to login to http://paypal.com and close your account from within. It is a waste of time to call them, and you will wait forever to talk to anyone anyway.
