Pioneer Deh-x6500bt Has Volume Fade Out.

I installed a DEH-X6500BT in my 2006 Silverado about 3 years ago, and recently I have been having problems with the volume fading to silence. It will be working great and then start to get quieter and quieter until it is completely silent no matter how I turn the volume adjustment. I generally listen to bluetooth, but after it goes silent it will also not play from any source. The only way I have found to restart it is to turn the truck off, or remove the faceplate for an extended amount of time.. The frustrating part is that I can't figure out any trend with when it happens. Sometimes it is within minutes of getting in the truck, sometimes hours, sometimes hot/cold/ect. Has any one else ran into this problem??

check the speaker isn't peaking.
check it is set to line and not mic
check the switch isn't set to 220 volts instead of 110.
