Swiffer Battery Life

My previous Swiffer lasted SIX YEARS before slowly dying. I could clean my whole house before the battery ran out. I purchased a new one EIGHT MONTHS AGO, and the battery runs out in under 3 MINUTES, after a full charge, which sometimes takes more than 24 HOURS before the light turns green again. I have to RUN, and am missing whatever area that comes last. The battery just stops, no running down like before. This is ridiculous...your website says the battery should last up tp 10 MINUTES! I wish! I recommended this vacuum to dozens of people, and I am stuck with a complete lemon. Also, with the new bent handle, trying to go flat to get under a chair is now impossible. Any recourse for my lemon, or is it just too bad for a loyal customer?
