Entering Deposits And Checks Manually

Since about September I had been entering deposits and checks (separate accounts) manually. In the latter part of January, the Quicken would not allow me to make any entries, and said that I must go online to do it. I must have somehow clicked on something to cause this. What must I do to be able to manually input all entries?
