Using Quicken 2007, Different Check Registers Overlap In Accounting Reports

I just set up a new account register for my recently deceased father.  But when I go to "Reports", they include data from other registers besides my father's.  Do I need a whole new account list for EACH register I set up, or can I use the same account list for any register?
