Printer Will Not Let Me Print To 11x17.

I have all the settings to 11x17; paper size document size and print on 11x17. It will either not print or print heart smiley faces and other little figures on 8.5x11. Red light keeps flashing afterwards. I've tried printing several different documents with same page size but none of them seem to work

Normally I would say you just have something configured incorrectly on the machine but the odd characters you have described probably tell the story. Those indicate either an incorrect or corrupt print driver. Ricoh usually puts out 4 driver types for each model / OS combination. PCL5, PCL6, RPCS, and PS. Unless your machine has the "Adobe PS3" sticker on the front, don't use the PS driver. RPCS can be buggy sometimes with certain programs so you probably want to go with PCL6 and make sure you have the correct information as to weather you need the 32 bit or 64 bit version for your operating system. If you do for sure have the right driver already installed you should delete it and download it again and re-install it. You can get the drivers at ricoh-usa.com.

If you do all of that and still have the issue it is likely that the printer needs the firmware updated or the controller is defective.
