Duplex Option On A Ricoh Mp2550

My ricoh MP2550 duplex option has dissapeared of the screen, there are no error codes on the machine. I know the hard drive has started to fail could that cause this problem

Hi, if the hard drive has started to fail, that will cause your issue. Without the hard drive, you won't be able to duplex. Certain other options may not be available as well once the hard drive starts to die, including scanning, stapling, and sorting (varies by model). Once you replace the hard drive, the duplex option will reappear.
