A Problem With Roku 2

I bought a Roku2 from Amazon UK on 4th October 2012 .It had been working perfectly until three days ago, when I suddenly could not watch a Netflix film that I had chosen. The error message in Netflix advised me to power-off the Roku for 10 seconds, and re-try. Several such attempts still gave me a message that the film that I had selected could not be played. But, nor could I play any other film that I selected - which produced the same error message! I therefore decided to reset the Roku and start from scratch. Unfortunately, the reset process froze at the "Select Language" position. I used the Reset button once - but the machine still froze at the language selection position. I then asked Amazon whether they would give me a replacement Roku2, despite the fact that the warranty had expired by a little over a month - and the answer was No." Amazon suggested that I contacted you and asked for help.
