Does Samsung Sch 1800 From Verizon Uses Sim Card For It To Function As Phone?

Nothing listed for sim card. But you can get apps that can enable you to call out from the tablet. so there's no device which would allow the tablet to service as a phone. but I can get an app from the android marketplace? Most are calls to other user using the app, but there is one that allows calls to any phone.
