Pairing With A Roku Remote
I lost my remote control for my Samsung PN50B450B1DXZA years ago and have settled for using just the buttons on the TV. Recently I've tried pairing with a universal remote with no success. Now I've tried pairing a roku remote and still no success. I'm guessing there's been no software update in a while if that's the cause. Other than that could there be anything else I'm missing?

How do I pair my Roku remote to my Samsung TV?
Press UP on the directional pad to access Universal Remote, and then select Universal Remote on the Source screen. Next, select Start and make sure the device you want to connect is turned on. When your desired device displays, select it. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup and register the device.

You may be able to get a replacement remote from Samsung The best solution however is probably to purchase an "OEM" remote not offered by Samsung--which is less expensive than the one Samsung provides, but should be functionally identical; go to https://codesforuniversalremotes.com/replacement-remotes-for-tvs-oem/. Otherwise, try https://www.replacementremotes.com/ or https://www.remotes.net/. But be sure the remote will meet your needs before you buy it.
