My Phone Is Locked Forgot Password
i forgot the four digit security code so I can't get it onto my phone could you tell me how to get passed that or reset the phone if that has to happen but I need to be able to use it please help

A factory data reset may help with a blank or frozen screen, apps crashing or freezing, keypad/touchscreen problems, can't hear, device making noises, can't make or receive calls, and device won't sync.
Perform a factory data reset only if absolutely necessary as it removes all data including:
- Google account
- System and app data
- App settings
- Downloaded apps
- Media (Music, pictures and videos, etc.)
Notes:
- Personal data (e.g., Wi-Fi passwords, browser bookmarks, etc.) can be backed up to Google's servers.
- An alternate reset method is available if the device can be powered on and is responsive.
- If troubleshooting third-party apps, disable the Automatic Restore option.
- Power the device off.
If screen is frozen, remove/reinsert battery. - Simultaneously press and hold the Volume Up button (located on the upper-left edge), Power button (located on the upper-right edge) and the Home button (located at the bottom).
- Utilize the Volume Up/Down buttons to highlight and the Power button to select one of the following options:
- Reboot system now
- Apply update from external storage
- Wipe data / factory reset
Allow several minutes for the factory data reset and reboot processes to complete.
To setup the device after the reset has completed, refer to Initial Activation and Setup. - Wipe cache partition
- Apply update from cache
