Samsung Lcd Bought In Europe

I bought a 46'', Serie 6 LCD in Amsterdam and brought it in the Philippines. They said it will work but I can't seem to to connect to my local Cable TV provider. Can you advise me? And the TV requires 50Hz power, ours is 60Hz although both 220V. Will it cause problem later on?
