New Contact Not Showing On Screen! Please Answer A.s.a.p.....thank You!

I have an Samsung AT&T "Sunburst" with a Consumer Cellular SIM CHIP. Why is it that when I insert a new contact it doesn't show up on the screen, yet the cell shows contact already listed?
