MY USB DRIVER GOT CORRUPTED AND I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO OPEN MY SANDISK USB. SOME SYSTEMS RECOGNIZES THAT THE DEVICE IS PRESENT BUT WHEN YOU ATTEMPT TO OPEN IT, YOU'RE TOLD TO INSERT THE USB DEVICE. PLEASE HELP!!!

First, don't panic - yet. The first thing you should do it take the flash drive to a different computer to see if that computer can access it when you plug it into the USB port. If that computer can't access it, then the problem is most likely in the flash drive. Your best bet if that is the case is to contact a professional firm that specializes in data recover. You may want to call them and describe the problem to see what they have to offer.
If you can read the drive on a different computer, then it is likely that the driver on your computer for your flash drive somehow got corrupted. The USB driver needs to be deleted and reinstalled. On Windows XP, I think you can use Device Manager to remove the device and then after reboot, it will automatically reload the drivers for the USB devices. I've had this happen and this process worked for me. If you're running Vista, the process should be similar.
