2004 Saturn Ion 1 Coolant Light

Sometimes when I am driving, a warning bell goes off and my odometer says "COOLANT'.  I have checked the coolant level in the car and it is okay.  I have watched the temp gauge when this happens and it is normal,  just below the halfway mark.  Can you help?  The car is now out of its' 6 year bumper to bumper (of course)!!! Thankyou, Nick

I had this happen to me also. There is a sensor in the coolant overflow tank. It is formed in the palstic and cannot be replaced unless you buy a whole new tank. I repalced tank and no longer had problem.
