Black Friday

I opened my computer this morning to your super deal for Black Friday on a washer and dryer combo offered for $599.00 reg $1399.00 after being a card holder for years with you I wanted to see what this value is and went to Sears at Clarksville Indiana to see. Once there I was informed that there would be only 3 or 4 sets of these available at each store and didnt know how they were going to do it. Do what ---well you know handle it. I cant believe you would have a NATIONAL promotion with on 3 or 4 units per store--how non customer service oriented is this ---do you not care anymore about your customers? I tried to call the store about this and NO ONE would address it---do employees get these units first or something---sure they dont. I am so disappointed in your tactics I want everyone to know how underhanded this is---this is no way to run a business by total deciept of your customers who have supported you all these years.

It's the way of supply and demand. If there is a huge supply, the is less demand. If they only put out 3 or 4 sets, there would be a huge demand, and everyone would want to buy them.

BubsDood is not correct. Demand never depends on supply. A lower supply can enable a higher price (for the same demand); that's known as the "market price." In this case, however, the price is undoubtedly set below the market price, as an incentive to shop -- to get you in the store. Sears is almost certainly taking a loss on the described washer/dryers it sells; even if not, it is accruing much less of a profit than it otherwise could. In either case, it is obviously not in Sears's interest to sell too many.
