Kenmore Range Oven Cuts On By Itself

I have a Kenmore range and the oven cuts on by itself at 350 degrees.  Sometimes the F11 flashes and sometimes the recipe light comes on.  It does several different things.  The service tech says its a faulty relay switch.  My question is: Why should I pay to have it repaired.  It is definitely not my fault and out of my control.
