Sharp Alarm Clock Battery Operated,spc849
I can't put the AA Battery in my new clock. I unscrewed the little screw below the battery case and am unable to get the casting open to put the new battery in. No directions came with it and I can't find any on line.

When the screw is removed there should also be a tab which needs to be moved to release the cover. There could be a coin slot instead. These are the normal methods for battery covers. I have attached a link to an similar model which just says remove the cover. Obviously assuming it is not an issue.
