The SIM has to be in it to do the reset and since you did not give the model # of your device we are unable to give exact instructions. These should be close:
Master Reset
IMPORTANT: The device will be set back to factory settings; all data stored on the device will be lost. The device may not be functional for up to 15 minutes after a master reset is performed.
From the standby screen, press Menu.
Scroll to and select Settings.
Scroll to and select Master Reset.
Scroll to and select desired reset:
Reset Settings: this option clears the settings only
Reset Device: this option resets the entire device
Press Continue.
The device will be restarted, press Continue.
