Help Desperate

my stand by light blinks non stop and the screen will not turn on along with the sound...how do I fix this?

When you first turn these sets on the indicator would blink until the three picture tubes where warmed up and balanced before the microprocessor would enable the picture and stop the blinking, As the picture tubes aged the time would get longer and then one day it would just keep blinking. This means that one of the tubes is too weak (if not all three).

Only the green picture tube is available, the other two are no longer available. The price of this tube is around $125 plus $250-$300 labor if you take it to the shop (more if it's done in the home). This can only be fixed if it's the green CRT that has failed, and remember the other two (red and blue) will be failing soon since they are getting old.
