What File Do I Save At When Making A Dvd To Play In This System

Hi I have a Sony xav-c1 dvd player and want to make my own DVDs to play in it I have tried many different file types and none seem to work would anyone know what file type I should be making it with?

You cannot just burn video files to a DVD. You need to use DVD authoring software to convert and burn the videos in the correct format. If you use Windows Vista or later then try Windows DVD Maker.
