The mouthpiece is a small microphone in which people you call can hear you when you talk to them and it is at the bottom part of the phone.
When you replace the mouthpiece people will start hearing you when you talk.

If the phone was bought within the past 60 days you should contact Sprint for a replacement phone, no insurance on the device is required as this is still a new device and they do offer a guarantee.
You can do this by accessing the keypad to make a call, then press *2 on your phone's keypad to contact Sprint's Customer Service.
Sprint may ask you to take the phone to the closest Sprint, or Sprint affiliated store (like Radioshack), for assistance. If this is the case, the store will often (this is not a guarantee they will) switch the phone there, rather than have you wait for a replacement to arrive via Fed-Ex.
In the meantime, you may choose to temporarily use the speaker while talking on the phone, instead of the standard way, as this will provide better clarity for both people on the line, atleast until the issue is resolved.
Much appreciation to those who acknowledge our members for their contribution toward finding a solution.
