Double Credit Card Charge

Today at Target Mt Pleasant, SC your computer system glitched on a AE charge. They asked us to run our AE card again. We now have been double charged for $73.22. We wanted the second charge removed. We called the Target store and they said to come in. That is not convienient at all. Why cannot this be done over the phone or online? I have already advised AE of this potential problem on the double charge. We have the receipt and the associated documentation number.

Have you tried calling Target Customer Service/Billing Department? They may be able to work with AE to investigate your double charge issue, and get it resolved, or you on the line with them when they make the call, just in case additional verification detail is needed.

This may or may not work, but it might be worth a shot if you don't want to go into the store.

It would be best to just go into the store and get this resolved. Complaining about it on an online Q&A site isn't going to get you anywhere.
