To reset your Droid 3, you can follow these steps:
- Turn off your Droid 3 and wait a few seconds.
- Press and hold the Volume Up, Volume Down, and Power buttons at the same time.
- Release the buttons when the screen turns on and displays the Droid logo.
- Press the Volume Down button twice to highlight "recovery mode" and then press the Power button to select it.
- The screen will display an Android robot with a red exclamation mark.
- Press and hold the Power button and then press and release the Volume Up button. This will bring up the recovery menu.
- Use the Volume buttons to navigate to "wipe data/factory reset" and press the Power button to select it.
- Use the Volume buttons to navigate to "Yes - delete all user data" and press the Power button to confirm.
- Wait for the reset process to complete, which may take several minutes.
- When the reset is finished, use the Volume buttons to navigate to "reboot system now" and press the Power button to restart your Droid 3.
Once your Droid 3 has been reset, it will be restored to its factory settings and any old emails or other data that was on the device will be deleted. Keep in mind that resetting your Droid 3 will also erase any personal data and settings that you have added to the device, so be sure to back up any important information before resetting it.
