Buy My Own Modem

I can buy a Motorola cable modem for my internet, I can't see paying TWC almost $6.00 a month to rent one. If I buy my own modem, would I just unplug TWC's modem and plug in mine? And how do I return TWC modem?

You will need to call Time Warner Cable to activate the new modem after you plug it in. Once you have it activated you can return the old one to a local TWC office.
