Dvr Not Recording A Full Program

All of a sudden my DVR is only recording like 30 min. of a 60 min. show i.e. Touch, Person of Interest. When I check recording log there's nothing listed for either program. It's the Scientific Atlantic box & I tried unplugging everything & it's still happening-what can I do?!
