Toshiba 39 Inch Model 40ft2u1 Manual
my power light will come on and wont show anything on the screen and the power light goes off by itself after abou 8 seconds. what is wrong?

It sounds like a hardware issue for sure. You will likely need to have it serviced. The manual can be found here.
