Go to page 94 of the manualItem #5. I had the 52" version of this tv & one or more of the fans might not be functioning properly. In my experience when the unit powers up & starts blinking the red led & trying to reset itself it usually indicates a lamp failure. When it try's to start are you getting screen illumination, if not bulb.
