Laptop Won't Turn On Automatically When Opened

My laptop boots up when opened. All of a udden this method of turning on the laptop stopped working nd I have to push button (located above keybord right side) repeatedly before laptop turns on. Is there a keyboard or other method of rgaining this easier method of turning on my laptop. I could not find an answer in pdf mnual. Thank you for your help.

Go to Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Battery Options -> System Settings and change the options.

OR

Go to Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound and Click "Change the Power Button Behaviors" and change it.
