Gift Card Policy When Purchased For Online Order

I purchased a gift card inorder to make an online order for my son's Christmas gift and after the sales assOciate used the card for my purchase he cut the card because it had no remaining funds . I had the order shipped to the store and when I went to pick it up a few days later they told me I couldn't get my money a card or the gift . Until five days later and it wouldn't be guaranteed. It's 2014 it doesn't take that long to do anything. I have no money and no gift for my child .this protocol needs to be revised like now. This is ridiculous to say the least
