2g Date Cards

I was looking at Tracfone Android phones at Walmart and the lady said I would need to activate it with a minute card and then I would need to buy a 2G data card to access the internet. Is that true?The phones are ZTE Valet Android Smartphone and LG Optimus DynamicThank you!

Yes, you need to buy voice and data cards seperately.
