Motorola TracFone Operating Tips Redialing Numbers

Your Motorola TracFone stores recent incoming and outgoing numbers in the phone's memory. To redial a recent outgoing number, press the "Send" button. Scroll to the number you want to redial and press the "Send" button again. To see a list of incoming calls, press the "Send" button again. Scroll to "Received Calls" then press "Select."

  Selecting a Speed Dial Number

Each telephone number and person's name stored in your phone's "Address Book" is assigned a number. This number lets you dial that person without having to enter the full phone number. To dial a number from your phone's "Address Book," enter the speed-dial number related to the phone number you want to call. Press the "#" key and "Send."

Locking Your Motorola TracFone's Keypad

To keep from accidentally dialling a number or accessing features while the phone is in your pocket or purse, lock your phone's keypad by pressing the centre navigation key. Then press the "*" key. To unlock your phone, press the centre key again and the "*" key.

  Placing the Phone on Vibrate

Your Motorola TracFone lets you place its ringtone to vibrate to keep from disturbing others during a meeting or other event. Press and hold the "#" key to place your phone on vibrate. Press and hold the "#" key again to return to your previous ringtone setting.

  Setting Incoming Call Alerts

Select "Menu" on your Motorola TracFone. Scroll to "Style." Select "Change." Scroll through the incoming call alert styles. Highlight the style alert you want and press "Select" to set the alert. To set a specific ringtone for the alert, scroll to "Detail" and press "Change." Navigate to the alert type and press "Change." Scroll to the ringtone setting you want. Press "Select."

  Placing A Call On Hold

To place a call on hold, press the centre navigation key. Select "Hold." Press "Resume" to take your call off of hold.

  Muting A Call

Muting turns off your Motorola TracFone's microphone so the other party cannot hear you speaking with someone else in the room or car. To use this feature, press the centre navigation key. Select "Mute." Press "Unmute" to return to the normal microphone setting.

  Call Waiting

Like landline phones, your Motorola TracFone includes a call waiting feature that alerts you of an incoming phone call while you are in the middle of a phone call. When an incoming call is being received, your phone alerts you with a tone and displays the caller's name and number on your phone's display. To answer the call, press "Answer." To switch back to the other party, press "Switch." To connect both calls so everybody can talk, press "Link."
