Possible Fraud/scam
Why would tripadvisor/flipkey refer me to someone in Miami who manages a prime property in NYC at an incredible value? They request a $75 credit card booking fee through Tripolocity, half the 4 day rental paid via check, direct transfer, Pay Pal to The Travel Group, never answer my telephone calls, all their representatives have different telephone numbers and services, and some of the answering messages are unprofessional. I paid the booking fee and canceled it after it was not posted in 4 days, never gave them a direct deposit and they've never answere any of my calls or messages. I suspect they are a scam and take reservations and direct deposits through TRIPOLOCITY and request direct deposits, checks, or wire tranfers to THE TRAVEL GROUP, 12864 Biscayne Blvd, Miami FL 33281. Actually that is not so strange. A lot of these big vacation rental sites work with agents that represent the owners. Owners do not want to deal with calls at all times of night and lots of emails. Well some owners dont. I know I dont. I use several managment companies that take the deposits and them send them to me. I see nothing wrong with that.
