Can't Hear Friends
I have x42 hi can hear game sound but not my friends in the Xbox live party's help please

we had exact same problem we could hear game and friends could hear us but we couldnt hear them turned out to be a faulty chat cable,if you can before buying a replacement swop chat cables with a friend if they have same headset. we did which proved it was the cable, our head set worked as it should voices heard both ways with their cable yet they could only be heard and not hear friends with our cable, hope this solves your problem
if you struggle to find a replacement chat cable on the high street try turtle beach website under parts/accessories
the chat cable is the wire between hand set and head phones it unplugs at either end we also have the x42s
ive also read that it could be a faulty handset connection so if you are unable to borrow a chat cable try a different handset before going to the expense of buying a new cable just to rule out that possibility
