How To Program A Security Code

Your manual tells me to go to Ans. Setup, them select Security Code.  How do I move the arrow on the left side down from Handset Setup to Ans. Setup ?  I cannot get the arrow to move down.  I have tried CID and it does not work.  Please help me so I can program a security code on my new phone.
