How To Silence Base Ringer

My base ringer has always been off. For some reason it has started ringing along with the handset. I cannot find how to turn off the BASE ringing.

Press the "Ringer" key on the Uniden base station. The display will show the current ringer volume.

Press the ringer key until the display shows "OF."

Release the key. The base-station readout will say "Ringer off.
