This is a discounted upgrade fare/ticket where the airline upgrades a coach class purchased ticket to business or first class (whichever is the next highest cabin class) if the fare purchased is categorized as B, M or higher inventory.  Basically it is a coach/economy ticket that allows the traveler to upgrade.
