Refund Policy

I cancelled 2 flights with UA due to a death in the family. I now have 2 credits with UA. When do I submit the proof of death to UA so I'm not charged the $150 fee for changing these 2 flights? Do I do it now or wait until the time I use my credit to book 2 new flights? Is the obituary notice sufficient or do I need a death certificate? Kathleen Tschaen
