Payment For Second Opinion

I have just been diagnosed with Barretts esophagus by my regular gastro doctor. I am a breast cancer survivor and I received excellent support and care from UHC during that time.  They offered to pay for me to have a second opinion which I did not have but I was so grateful for that.  My situation has changed now. I was declared disabled by the social security last year and Medicare is my primary Insurance.  UHC is my secondary. I have been fighting IBS, Helicobacter Pylori, and now this new problem.  After researching theBarrett's disease, I found that Mayo clinic is a leader in the treatment of this disease. I ive in Savannah GA which is near Jacksonville, Florida where one of Mayo clinics is located. I am trying to find out if you will pay for a second opinion. I am also contacting Medicare to find out how much they will pay. I would not need any money to make the trip or for room and board while in Jacksonville-just payment for services there. thank you for any information. charlotte wilbur
