Is It True That Verizon Has Done Away With Their Plans That Include Canada?

I had a North American plus for quite awhile then dropped it cause I wasn't using it that often. When I was at the verizon store in Niagara Falls NY the other day, they told me that since Canada has got rid of there CDMA network they no longer have a plan that includes Canada. Is this true or just BD?
