Pairing Intensity Ll Phone With Blue Tooth

I have been attempting the pairing of my blue tooth and my new intensity ll A3LSCHu460 phone. I have followed the instructions and the phone shows searching and then 1 device found and then I get pairing failed. Do you have any suggestions on how I can make this pairing happen? My husband had no problem pairing his new HCt phone with the blue tooth after I had failed pairing with my phone several times.
