My Samsung Brightside Won't Send/receive Messages Or Calls?

Everytime I try to reset it almost four minutes later it will say message failed . Same with calls. Any ideas?

Dear whom it may Concern,

To start receiving calls dial *73 because it unforwards your calls which can be forwarded if mistakenly dialing *72 which is common in areas that the numbers start with 72.
