Editing

Hello, I have been trying to figure it out how to achieve one shot instead of two separate ones? As it happens with the go pro, that it automatically records one shot, no two separates for each eye ofthe camera. Should it be done in the editing room or can It be fixxed from the camera? Thanks I would really apreciate your help.
