Cell Phone Dead

I'm trying to help my brother by long distance. His Virgin mobile phone is dead. it is charged. Can you check to see if you show it active? It is topped up.We loaded $90 on it at Christmas so he'd have access for 12 months. # is 513-430-5575. Don't call it since he's in Cincinnati and I'm in Seattle.
