The Screen Has Gone Blank And I Cannot See Anything. Is It Fixable?

l have had my Straight Talk cell phone since Spetember and I have not had any issues whatsoever with the phone.  It had great service and does the job I need it for.  Last night when I took my phone out of its care the screen was completely blank- showing on a grey blob where as now I cannot see anything at all on the screen.  I can still make outgoing calls and revieve call but I had no idea if I am punching in the correct digits when I make a call and no idea who is calling because the screen is completely back.  I ahbe hear the message tone for when a recieve a text message, I am just got able to check it nor can I get into the menu to the Settings to turn the phone on silent due to the blank screen.  I am very cautious with the phone and there is no damage whatsoever.  I was in complete shock because earlier in the evening I slid the phone open to check if I had any text messages and to also check the time andthe screen was perfectly fine but when I returned about 20 minutes the screen was blank and I have no idea why that would have happened because I am very careful with the phone.  Is there anything I can do to get the phone working properly again?
